Beaufort National Cemetery

 

Beaufort, South Carolina

 

With its first interments in 1861, Beaufort National Cemetery has a long and proud history, becoming a National Cemetery under the National Cemetery Act by Abraham Lincoln in 1863. Liste on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, Beaufort National Cemetery holds the remains of almost 20,000 veterans and their families.

“As a native of Beaufort, SC having growing up in a military town with retired USMC father and having several family members and friends serving or having had served, I have so much respect for our military forces.
Being the owner and operator of Carolina Floral Design and the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation coordinator for the Beaufort National Cemetery has provide me an opportunity to honor and pay respect for those who gave all.
This year is our 5th year participating in the rose placements at the national cemetery.”
